CE Jeremy Camps has a long term interest in history and this was stimulated by finding in a Bangkok Art shop a fabulous map of Malaya dated 1897 which had been extracted from an old "Citizens Atlas" by John Bartholomew of Edinburgh. This shows the Malaysian states of Perlis, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan under Thailand.

JCC Re have starting building a collection of Borneo memorabilia - focused chiefly on Sabah, formerly British North Borneo, a Protectorate administered by the British North Borneo Company with its headquarters in London i.e. a British company operating in what is now East Malaysia. With similarities to JCC Re with its British ownership and Labuan base.  This has been extended on an opportunistic basis with items from Labuan and Sarawak.  Items acquired include prints and pictures, mainly from the Illustrated London News in the 1890s.
